Pet Passports – when you need them
The Pet Travel Scheme (PETS) allows pet dogs, cats & ferrets (yes really!) to travel to certain countries & return to the UK without requiring quarantine.
Before travelling your pet will require a microchip, a rabies vaccination & a pet passport to be issued.
If the UK leaves the EU without a deal, the rules will change. We are currently recommending that pets due to travel this year have a repeat rabies vaccination (or start their vaccinations) followed by a blood test 30 days later. This process should be started at least 4 months before you travel.
We can provide you with everything you need in order that you can obtain a pet passport. You will need to make an appointment with one of our vets & bring your pet along with any vaccination records or rabies blood test results (if you have them).
