Di Wilson

Veterinary Surgeon

Diane worked in Newbury and Lambourn for several years before taking over the practice from Mick Ponting in 1995. She has a particular interest in sports horse injuries and regularly attends polo matches, horse trials, driving trials and endurance competitions as the official vet.

She is also a listed Inspector of Riding Establishments. Diane has a Labrador called Roger and several horses. “Outside work I have practiced Iyengar yoga for almost 20 years, and find it a great way to maintain flexibility and for relaxation. I´m an avid fan of show-jumping and regularly compete at BS competitions up to Foxhunter and 1.25m classes. I have had the wonderful opportunity to compete at such prestigious venues as Royal Windsor and Hickstead.

I have also bred several sports horses, and have a very promising youngster jumping successfully in 1.30m classes. This has been made possible since Patrick became a partner in the business in 2001 and the responsibility of running the practice has been shared.

I have plenty of personal experience of keeping a string of ponies on the road and appreciate the need to return horses to work as quickly as possible post-injury.

I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of pre-purchase examinations, and have a keen interest in dermatology. I think itchy skin conditions are often under-estimated as a cause of distress in small animals and horses”.

Jackie Morris

Practice Administrator

Jackie is our efficient Practice Administrator, who has also gained the National Diploma in Animal Care. She lives with her husband, Ben, children Louis and Cora, dog Snoop and cat Fred. Jackie has been an invaluable member of the team since 1995, and knows all our regular patients, and their owners, very well. In addition to her vital role as our organiser, she also takes her turn at the reception desk, and in the nursing care of our patients.

In her spare time, weather permitting, Jackie enjoys cycling with her family, camping and dog walking.
