"I have an emergency"

What you should do

  • Don't panic.
  • Act immediately. The quicker you act, the quicker we can help.
  • Gather all the facts. For example, if your animal has eaten something they shouldn't, find the product details and try and assess how much has been consumed.
  • Call us on 01285 643146 or 01285 643591. We're here to help, 24/7.
  • We'll advise you on the best course of action. You and your animal will be in safe hands.

Oh, by the way, try and avoid asking Dr Google for advice. Information online is sometimes misleading or inaccurate. It's much better to seek help from a professional who has your animal's history.

At The Sidings we operate our own out-of-hours, emergency service: that's 24/7, every day of the year. Nowadays, many Practices don't offer their own such service and outsource it. With an outsourced service, you may have to travel with your animal some distance to unfamiliar surroundings in an emergency.

At The Sidings, in an emergency, the phone will be answered by a real person who'll immediately contact one of our vets. You'll see a friendly and likely familiar face who will have access to all of your animal's history.
